DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Academy Award nominations were announced Thursday mornin g, and among all the “The Brutalists” and “Emilia Perezes” was a small film with a local connection.
“The Six Triple Eight” tells the story of Charity Adams-Earley, commander of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion during World War II, first in England, then in France.

This is Warren’s 16th Oscar nomination, though she has yet to take home the gold statue in a competitive race. (She received an honorary Oscar in 2022.)
