1. Multicultural Festival in Palm Bay
The City of Palm Bay hosts a Multicultural Festival at Fred Poppe Regional Park, 1951 Malabar Road NW, Palm Bay, on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Celebrate the rich diversity of our community with performances, cuisine and family fun from around the world. Enjoy live entertainment featuring the Indian River Flute Circle, Safari Todd, Wah Lum Kung Fu, Hiti Mahana, Moko Jumbie Stilt Walkers and the Junkanoo Band, American Belly Dance Club, Spirit of Samba, and more. 2. ‘Tales from the Mouse’ concert in Melbourne
Melbourne Community Orchestra presents “Tales from the Mouse,” a concert of Disney music, at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 Hibiscus Blvd., on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 29 and 30 at 7 p.m., with pre-show entertainment starting at 6:15 p.m. The program includes selections from “Mary Poppins,” “Frozen,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid” and “Aladdin.” Admission is free. 3. Furry Friends Market in Rockledge
Rockledge Gardens , 2153 US Hwy. 1, hosts the Furry Friends Market on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will include live music by The Wax Phantom, local vendors, face painting, a pet photobooth and organizations dedicated to helping animals. 4. Spinning workshop on Merritt Island
Learn the basis of spinning at the next meeting of the Space Coast Weavers and Fiber Artists at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Merritt Island Public Library, 1195 N. Courtenay Parkway. Jeanie Mc Cormack will demonstrate basic spinning tools, supplies and techniques. If you already spin, bring your spindles and wheels. Beginners will get hands-on practice to pre-draft fibers and try out spinning on a drop spindle and spinning wheel. Different types of fiber will be provided for the workshop. Admission is free. 5. ‘Exploring Encaustic’ art exhibit in Titusville
The Downtown Art Gallery , 400 Orange Street, Titusville, will feature “Exploring Encaustic Painting with Linda Krupp” through Feb. 15. Encaustic painting, a centuries-old technique using beeswax, damar resin, and pigments, comes alive with Krupp’s modern twist, which includes layered textures, transferred images and embedded objects. A celebrated artist with 30 years of experience, Krupp is known for her finely detailed oil paintings and dynamic palette knife techniques. The gallery is open Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free. 6. Roll the Stones concert in Sebastian
