IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Illinois State track & field program wrapped up Day One of the Larry Wieczorek Invitational in Iowa City on Friday evening.
Junior Jake Welch captured an event win for the Redbirds in the men’s 600m run with a mark of 1:18.48. Welch’s time now sits fourth on the program’s top-10 list. Junior Star Mpama also joined the program’s top-10 list in the women’s 600m run with a time of 1:32.98.
Mpama and Welch become the 12th and 13th Redbirds this season to move into the program’s top-10 list…
