NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WJBF) – SRP Park is set to open for the public Tuesday afternoon as a way to help the community in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
Tom Denlinger, vice president of the Augusta GreenJackets, said in a post on Instagram: “During this unprecedented time we wanted to connect and hope you all are safe! We wanted to alert you that we are opening SRP Park tomorrow to the public.”
SRP Park will open at noon through 5 p.m. on Oct. 1. Free hot dogs and sodas will be given away from noon to 2 p.m. while supplies last. Ice bags will also be distributed while available.

According to Denlinger, the WOW! Club will also be open for people to charge phones and sit in air conditioning…
