Combined donations of more than $16,000 helped provide Christmas packages to brighten the holidays for 225 area children and their families as part of a program led by Alamogordo Public Schools Health Services.
Each child received a complete outfit, stocking, cozy blanket, book, toy, a family gingerbread house kit, vouchers for a family photo session, new shoes and a coat, APS said in a news release.
