COBLESKILL, NY – Led by 24 combined kills and eight total blocks from star junior Jazlin Chen, the Skidmore College women’s volleyball team completed a pair of straight set victories over host SUNY Cobleskill and Keuka College at the Cobleskill Tri-Match on Saturday.
The Thoroughbreds (5-8) took a commanding 2-0 set lead before needing a late third set comeback to secure the morning sweep over the Fighting Tigers (2-8). In the early afternoon match, Skidmore fended off a relentless Wolves (4-6) team that played a competitive second and third sets, but ultimately clutched out the second straight sets win on the day.
