MONROE COUNTY, TN. (WALA) – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said they are searching for a murder suspect who is also wanted in Alabama for a parole violation.
Nicholas Wayne Hamlett, 45, is wanted for first-degree after authorities discovered he was using the identity of a deceased individual.
Officials said they received a call on Oct 18 from a distressed hiker who claimed he had fallen off of a cliff while running from a bear.
