ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Halloween is right around the corner and there are number of events and activities throughout the city for the community to participate in. Sarah East with Visit Albuquerque highlighted some of the upcoming events.

Día de Los Muertos in Old Town
- October 25 – November 3, recurring daily, the community can come to Old Town and enjoy movies, a parade, candlelight procession, community ofrenda, dance of the Matachines, car and truck show and more.
Dark Red Film Festival
- October 25 – 27 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and the Guild in Nob Hill. The film festival will feature short and feature horror films from local and international filmmakers.
Day of the Tread
- October 26, 27. Day of the Tread is a day of the dead Halloween themed bicycling event. There will be a road cycling event, a gravel event, and a 4k walk.
Ghouls on Parade: Halloween Festival and Parade
- October 26, from 4 – 7 p.m. at Morningside Park. The festival includes a kids carnival, live entertainment, food trucks, vendor booths and more. Then, guests can enjoy a costume parade.
