DC police investigating shots fired incident

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it is investigating a shooting that happened in Southeast D.C. Wednesday afternoon.

MPD said just after 4 p.m., officers responded to calls for shots fired in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Man arrested for trying to bring machete, knives into Capitol Visitor Center, officials say

No victims were found but officers found shell casings at the scene.

Around the same time, MPD said it received a call about a person who had a gun at the 13th and Pennsylvania intersection, which is about a block away…
