Doylestown Hospital Maternity Center Gets $184,000 from Designer House Tour

DOYLESTOWN, PA—The group behind The Bucks County Designer House & Gardens has donated $184,000—a big chunk of the proceeds from this year’s event—to Doylestown Hospital.

The funds will go to the VIA Maternity Center to purchase new patient beds for labor and delivery, a state-of-the art security and alert system for the unit, and new wireless fetal monitors for mothers in labor.

Other proceeds from this year’s designer house tour will go to the group’s committees that support the Central Bucks community. Some funds will also be used to maintain the James-Lorah Memorial Home on Main Street in Doylestown, which is the Village Improvement Association’s headquarters…
