SUMMIT HILL, Pa. — One woman is charged with theft after taking over $10,000 from a parent-teacher organization in Carbon County.

Officials say the principal of Panther Valley Intermediate School contacted Summit Hill Police in September after noticing funds had been taken from their parent-teacher organization account.

Melissa McCloskey, 34, the PTO’s treasurer at the time, met with the principal and told her she had accidentally used $5,000 from the PTO for herself…
