U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey sentenced a St. Louis man to 19 years in prison on Tuesday for carjacking and robbery charges stemming from an incident in July.
The defendant, 36-year-old Bradley C. McKinney, pleaded guilty in August to charges of carjacking, brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence, and possession of a machine gun.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight on July 29, 2023, near the intersection of 16th Street and Lucas Avenue in St. Louis. McKinney and an accomplice, both armed with handguns, approached two victims who had just exited their 2015 Chevy Cruze.
