The Hopewell Viking Bowling Team competed on Friday at Sheffield Lanes against the West Allegheny Indians. The Vikings kicked off the back-half of their regular season campaign the same way they ended the front half: with a combined 21-0 victory against the Indians.
The Lady Vikings avenged a week 1 loss to the Indians and were led by sophomore Annabeth Sembower with 3 150+ games and a 466 series to lead all scorers. Senior captain Jenna Willy added a 411 series and senior Gianna Krayniewski added her best career series of 350 to the victory. With the 7-0 win, the Lady Vikings took sole possession of 3rdplace in the section and now have a .500 record this late in the season for the first time since 2019. They’ll look to turn that into a winning record next week.
The Viking Boys were led by sophomore Ayden Gault shooting a career high 573 series with a 200 game. Senior captain Daniel Earley started the match off with a 235 game for the Vikings. Freshman Nolan Houy added his own personal best performances with a career high series of 527 and a high game of 213, his first high school 200 game.
