Two Anchorage students are making a big impact on their community by helping to create a group of youth philanthropists in Alaska.
Adam Kaufman, a student from West High School, and Liam Cuddy from Romig Middle School, organized the inaugural Youth Philanthropists event at the BP Energy Center on Monday night.
Nearly 70 kids attended the event, each donating $10, which quickly added up to $720. That amount was then matched by two organizations, including the Alaska Community Foundation, bringing the total to over $2,100 raised within just one hour…
