In his 10,000-meter debut, Skyler McIntyre has already inked his name in the record books.
The Fort Lewis junior clocked 31 minutes, 27.14 seconds to dip under the program record with teammate Caden Resendez at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird in Pueblo, Colo. The time converts to 30:30.17 at sea level, as McIntyre worked with Resendez to help reset the four-year-old mark.
The teammates ran metronomically, clicking off 74-77 second laps at 4,800 feet elevation while gunning for the Fort Lewis program record of 30:35.22 with little room for error…
