Komets rally from 2-0 hole to extinguish Fuel

FISHERS, Ind. (WANE) – Despite digging themselves a 2-0 deficit, the Komets ended Friday’s game with four unanswered goals to top their in-state rival, 4-2, at the Fishers Event Center.

The Komets have won five of their last six games dating back to Dec. 13.

Indy struck first with a goal by Darby Llewellyn at the 6:54 mark of the first period. Cam Hausinger doubled the Fuel’s lead with 16:30 to go in the second period. However, Fort Wayne native Alex Aleardi started the rally two minutes later with his 11th goal of the season. Former Ohio State standout Michael Gildon then scored his first professional goal to tie the game at 2-2 heading into the second intermission…
