The Boston Celtics took on the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night in the first of a two-game mini-series at Spectrum Center this weekend. Despite a valiant effort and some nice runs from the Hornets, Boston got the job done, picking up a 124-109 win. But the game was marred by a flurry of antics at the end of the contest.
Late in the fourth quarter, Grant Williams bulled over Jayson Tatum at half-court as he was dribbling up the floor. Tatum immediately popped up, clearly frustrated, and Jaylen Brown was furious, eager to defend his teammate. Williams was assessed a Flagrant 2 for the play and ejected from the game.
