Dearborn-based animal rescue hosts ‘Home for the Holidays’ initiative

The holidays just got a little warmer for animal lovers in the area and some lucky creatures needing new homes. On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit , a beloved local rescue organization, unveiled a heartwarming new initiative: the “Home for the Holidays” Christmas Eve adoption program.

Through Dec. 22, families can put a hold on adoptable dogs and cats, who will then be delivered straight to their new homes on Christmas Eve, creating a magical moment that’s sure to be unforgettable.

Cory Keller, President and CEO of Friends for Animals, shared the inspiration behind the initiative: “We know during the holiday season, many people in our community do consider adding a new family member to their household. We wanted to celebrate and help potential adopters find the best pet for their family or loved ones while embracing the magic of the upcoming holidays. Our wonderful team will help facilitate this and deliver their new furry family member on Christmas Eve. We have so many wonderful animals deserving of a second chance and would love to see them in homes for the holidays.”…
