Golden Bears Are Reigning Tournament Champions At Preserve Golf Club Collegiate

BERKELEY – The California men’s golf team will conclude its 2024 fall schedule in Carmel at the Preserve Golf Club Collegiate – formerly known as the Cal Poly Invitational – where it is the reigning tournament champion. The two-day tournament starts Monday with 36 holes of continuous play, followed by a final 18 holes on Tuesday.

The Golden Bears have three top-four finishes in as many tournaments played this fall, mostly recently including a third-place effort at the Pacific Invitational in Stockton on Oct. 14-16. FreshmanZiqin (Eric) Zhou has the top spot in Cal’s lineup after placing 22nd in his collegiate stroke-play debut at the Pacific Invitational. Daniel Heo, Charlie Berridge, Kuangyu (Tony) Chen – the reigning Preserve Golf Club Collegiate individual medalist – and Matthew Miyamoto join Zhou in the five-man lineup…
