Duke Sports Information – Duke freshman guard/forward Cooper Flagg swept the ACC Men’s Basketball weekly awards after earning ACC Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday, Jan. 6.
During two convincing ACC victories, Flagg averaged 24.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocked shots per game, while shooting 16-of-26 (.615) from the field, 4-of-6 (.667) from three-point range and a perfect 12-of-12 (1.000) from the free-throw line.
In an 89-62 road victory at SMU, Flagg registered his fifth double-double of the season and fourth 20-point double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds, along with three assists, two blocked shots and a steal. In an 88-65 home win over Virginia Tech, Flagg collected 24 points, three boards, six assists, four steals and a shot rejection in less than 30 minutes of action…
