Violence erupted in Sanford, Seminole County, as a man sustained injuries following a shooting yesterday. The incident occurred near the 18th Street and Blackston Avenue intersection in unincorporated Sanford, just moments before the clock struck 3 p.m. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the episode, with deputies arriving on site to discover the victim, wounded in the arm and lower leg. Amidst the chaos, a witness at the scene offered insight into the harrowing event, revealing the suddenness of the gunfire that broke the afternoon’s peace. “All of a sudden, we just heard the gunshots,” recounted Tadgulious to WESH, a woman who opted not to use her full name but, working nearby at the time, thought at first the sounds were problems with her truck rather than the actual gunshots that rang out. Her estimate tallied the shots at an alarming number: “Like 20. If not more,” she said.
After the shooting, the block looked unsettling, with evidence markers on the sidewalk and street showing the extent of the incident.
