After 30 years, Southern California Logistics Airport still economic force in Victorville

Shortly after George Air Force Base was shuttered and mostly abandoned, the Southern California Logistics Airport moved in and injected life into the property.

On Wednesday, Dec. 4, the City of Victorville invited community leaders throughout the High Desert region to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA).

An enterprise of the city, the financially self-sustaining SCLA was transformed into the largest employment center in the Victor Valley, offering 4,500 jobs at 62 businesses…
