Packers, city agree not to go to court on Wednesday on Heritage Trail Plaza, but the rest is unclear

GREEN BAY – The city of Green Bay and the Green Bay Packers will not go to court to decide the fate of the Packers Heritage Trail Plaza.

At least not on Wednesday. A hearing on a lawsuit by the Packers against the city scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Brown County Circuit Court was canceled Tuesday afternoon.

The city wants to move the plaza’s statues and displays from the corner of North Washington and Cherry streets, where they have been since the plaza opened in 2013. The city proposed moving the display to Green Bay Packers Plaza, in front of the KI Convention Center at Adams and Main streets. The Packers don’t like that site and filed suit against the city to keep it from removing the display from its current location…
