The Hillsboro R3 Little League is being audited and investigated.
“During an internal review of league Bank statements, some discrepancies were found and addressed with our Board of Directors. The person in question responsible for the transactions has been removed from the Board and a deeper audit and investigation is being conducted by an outside agency and the outcome will be forthcoming,” the Hillsboro R3 Little League posted on Facebook on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said a Jefferson County detective has been assigned to investigate the claims but did not provide further information, saying the investigation has just begun…
