A shooting in the West Belle area has left a 39-year-old woman injured. The woman was reportedly shot while exiting her car outside her apartment building on the 4000 block of W. Belle at around 7:30 p.m. last Saturday. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the victim did not see the shooter and was unable to provide a description.
Officers from District 5 quickly arrived to help the victim, who had been caught in the gunfire. The source of the gunshots remains unknown, as the woman “heard gunshots and realized she had been shot” without seeing the person or persons responsible.
