DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — Just weeks after losing their 14-year-old daughter, a local mom and dad sat down with FOX31 as they strive to save others in her honor.
At five years old, Ashley Scott created a foundation to serve the homeless with her extra Christmas money. In 2018, the governor recognized her altruism in his State of the State speech. By the time she was 14 years old, she had continued to touch many lives, and her loved ones are dedicated to continuing her legacy of helping others with a foundation created in her name.
Scott, a freshman and a cheerleader at Rock Canyon High School, passed away on Oct. 23. Her parents, Anne and Troy Henington, shared her story in hopes of preventing other parents’ pain…
