HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -Highs made it close to 60 on Thursday afternoon courtesy of partial sunshine and aa weak southeast wind. That’s a precursor to a mild, springlike weekend ahead. So golf clubs and landscaping tools will be in vogue while skiers with their parabolics will do well to plan on doing your downhill runs in the morning before temperatures rise and make for slusher conditions by afternoon.
Sensible weather starts with a chilly night that is mainly frost and fog free thanks to a stirring breeze. Morning lows will be in the mid to upper 30s. Thursday will see skies cloud over by midday with afternoon-evening light showers, more of the nuisance brand, in the prowl. Highs will hold in the 50s thanks to the cloud cover and light rain.
Saturday has the makings of a fine outdoorsy day with some sun and a warming breeze sending temperatures into the 60s. The first crocus of the season may well poke out. Saturday night showers will return and be followed by a more forceful squall pattern on Sunday. Squall refers to gusty winds and even a rumble of thunder!
