HUNTINGTON, W.Va (WCHS) — With the cut to the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter’s funding in the latest City of Huntington budget, many local businesses are gathering donations to help out the shelter during this uncertain time.
Co-owner of Full Circle Gifts and Goods Noelle Horsfield said that with the support of their customers they raised $1,000, donating $500 of their own money and a car full of supplies.
“If you’re shopping at a big box store, they’re not doing that here in the community,” Horsfield said. “And we want to be a part of it and show how much we support the local organizations that help make this a better place to live.”…
