On Saturday, the Marshall Thundering Herd won 6-0 over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. The win was largely due to freshman pitcher Clint Moak’s complete-game shutout.
Through the full nine innings, Moak threw 112 pitches, and 76 of them were strikes. He had four strikeouts and walked only two batters. Despite giving up seven hits to Southern Miss, he was able to force weak contact often, which led to 10 groundouts and 10 flyouts.
It is the first win in Moak’s career and came in his third start of the 2025 season…
