OBERLIN, Ohio (Jan. 15) — The Denison Big Red (9-6, 2-2 NCAC) came up short in a tightly contested conference matchup against the Oberlin Yeowomen (8-7, 2-2 NCAC), falling 77-70 at Philips Gymnasium on Wednesday night.
The Big Red surged in the third quarter, outscoring Oberlin 22-7 to erase an early deficit and enter the fourth with a slim lead. However, Oberlin responded with a decisive 29-point fourth quarter to reclaim control and secure the victory.
Adelyn Moore led Denison with a game-high 23 points, sinking six three-pointers and adding three rebounds and four steals. Abby Cooch also made a significant impact, recording 15 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.
