MONROEVILLE — Monroeville’s Gabi Cullen blocked a last-second attempt by Wellington to secure a 47-46 nonconference girls basketball win for the Eagles on Monday night.
Brooke Luhmkuhl scored 22 points for Wellington, but her last attempt was rejected by Cullen as Monroeville improved to 5-2 on the season.
“We knew that they were going to look for their 6-foot post,” Monroeville coach Ryan Bohn said. “They lobbed it to her and Gabi made a huge block and we recovered the ball as time expired. It was a great team win for our girls.”…
