Richland County had 37 confirmed overdose deaths this year through Nov. 26, according to Richland County coroner’s investigator Bob Ball.
The toxicology reports for some overdose death cases are still pending, he said.
Ten of the 37 confirmed overdose deaths included evidence of xylazine, a drug given to animals to sedate them before surgery or pain, Ball said. The drug is not approved for humans, Ball said. The drug is being seen in other Ohio counties including Franklin County…
