Lorain County Metro Parks’ Wildlife Giving Tree Program is underway through Dec. 30 at Carlisle Visitor Center, 12882 Diagonal Road in LaGrange, and French Creek Nature Center, 4350 Colorado Ave. in Sheffield Village.
Trees displayed at both locations contain ornaments with different items for residents to donate to the Metro Parks for continued upkeep and animal care, according to Mary Ewers Joyner, avian program curator.
Ewers Joyner said the giving trees were inspired by guests at the Holiday Lights event inquiring about how to donate to the Metro Parks in the holiday season, as the event contains a “foodraiser” for Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio…
