73 new electric vehicle charging stations coming to Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND — 73 new electric vehicle charging stations are set to be installed in the Cleveland area by the end of the year, with funding provided by a federal grant and chargers installed by two Northeast Ohio-based companies.

FLO, an EV charging company based in Canada and the United States, announced Thursday it would work with North Olmsted electrical contractor Alternalite EV and Akron-based construction company SAF Inc. to install 54 Level 2 CoRe+ charging stations and 19 Level 3 SmartDC fast charging stations throughout Northeast Ohio by Dec. 31.
