Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine will be making his long-awaited appointment to the U.S. Senate next week, replacing Vice President-elect JD Vance. However, the governor exclusively told me that he hadn’t called anyone to tell them they were the appointment.

As of Friday, Vance had officially resigned from his seat in Congress as he prepares to join the White House with President-elect Donald Trump.
