Madison Township Police Department adds new sergeant

A Madison Township Police Department patrolman has been promoted to sergeant.

Curt Svagerko was appointed to his new position at the Oct. 8 Madison Township trustee board meeting.

Svagerko began working as a Madison Township police patrolman in 2013. For the past eight years, he’s served the department as a detective.

After trustees voted unanimously to authorize Svagerko’s promotion, he was sworn in as a sergeant. He recited an oath administered by Max Anderson Jr., who is trustee board chairman and a retired Madison Township police officer…
