More 3D-printed homes expected in Ohio as builder makes $400k investment

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — International manufacturers in Ohio say the U.S. is full of opportunity when it comes to a technology providing homes for people who can’t afford one.

Due to the speed of production and lack of labor required, experts say 3D-printed homes are 20 percent cheaper to build than a traditional home. Now, one Ohio builder has made the $400,000 investment to purchase a printer of his own.
