ODOT District 1 getting trucks ready for winter weather

LIMA, OH (WLIO) – The Ohio Department of Transportation says to let it snow because their fleet is ready for any of the white stuff that comes our way.

ODOT District 1 has been conducting 150-point inspections on 118 trucks they use to keep the highways snow and ice-free in the 8 counties they serve. The district also has over 45 thousand tons of salt on hand to spread and 240 thousand gallons of deicer to use before a winter storm hits.
