Orwell, OH- Thursday night football in Orwell, Ohio did not disappoint as the Grand Valley Mustangs
played host to the Conneaut Spartans. The Mustangs and John Foss-Peters wasted no time
getting busy in the first quarter as he scored on a 5 yard carry to go up 7-0 early in the first
quarter. The Spartans would answer back 5 minutes later as running back Isaiah Boles found
paydirt on a 16 yard carry and the Spartans were able to run the ball in on a 2 point attempt to
take the lead 8-7. Later in the quarter Freshman linebacker, Chris Seper, returned an
interception for a touchdown to give Grand Valley the lead back with 2:48 left in the first quarter.
The Spartans offensive drive stalled out to begin the second quarter and the Mustangs
handed the ball off to Foss-Peters again on a 4 yard carry for a touchdown to put Grand Valley
up 20-8, they…..
