Detectives with the Fairburn Police Department are requesting assistance in their ongoing investigation of a fatal shooting at Los Mariachis Mexican Restaurant, located at 7794 Ella Lane in Fairburn, Georgia.
On January 8, 2023, at approximately 1:57 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at the restaurant. Upon arrival, they found Montrez McAlister lying on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, McAlister succumbed to his injuries.
According to a witness, McAlister was seated at the bar when a man described as approximately 5’10”, wearing black joggers and a red hoodie (possibly Georgia Bulldogs apparel), entered the establishment and fired several shots.
