FOREST PARK, Ga. — A dog and her five puppies had to be rescued from a storm drain in Forest Park. They are safe thanks to the incredible work of the Forest Park Fire Department.
The nonprofit Joy’s Promise Canine Rescue discovered the dogs in the storm drain. The founder, Heather Goforth, worked for hours to free the pups and called in fire department for assistance.
Goforth said the firefighters responded to the scene and stayed there for hours working to free the animals. Crews eventually had to bring out the jaws of life to cut them free…
