PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — There were some tense moments in the courtroom Friday with opening statements and witnesses on the stand testifying to what they recall in the the murder of Miya Brophy-Baermann, who was shot and killed by Isaiah Pinkerton on Olney Street.
Prosecutors and police said Pinkerton killed Brophy-Baermann in a drive-by shooting in August 2021.
This trial is focusing on Pinkerton’s alleged accomplice, Shawn Mann, who is not accused of pulling the trigger but rather being in the car when shots were fired at Brophy-Baermann…
