Top receiver in 2026 cycle set to visit Auburn this weekend

Highly-touted wide receiving prospect Tristen Keys will reportedly be in attendance for ‘Junior Day’ on the Plains this weekend according to 247Sports. The Hattiesburg, Mississippi native is the No. 1 ranked pass catcher in the entire 2026 cycle, and No. 4 ranked recruit overall.

Standing at 6-foot-2, Keys has the frame of a prototypical successful ‘WR1’. His “elite ball skills together, dynamic route running, and superior athleticism”, as described by scout Andrew Ivins, have boosted the high school junior to the top of most Power 4 school’s recruiting trails, making the chances of Auburn landing his talents slim.

Still, Hugh Freeze has shown the ability to capture the interest of highly-ranked recruits during his time in charge of Auburn’s football program. Adding Keys to an already dynamic and young receiving room that is now catching passes from five-star quarterback Jackson Arnold, and eventually five-star Deuce Knight, would stoke the fire of what is already expected to be on the better offenses in college football over the next few years…
