Irma Keenan 10/7/1936 – 12/11/2024

Irma Laura Keenan, beloved Mother and Nonnie passed away at her home on Dec. 11, 2024. Irma was born on Oct.7, 1936 in Roseville to Ignacio and Delphine Cons. Irma attended Roseville High and received her A.A. degree in Interior Design at American River College. Her businesses were JCP retail, Sarah Coventry Jewelry District Manager, and Stepping Up Interior Designs.

It was at a Roseville High football game that Irma met her husband, Jim Keenan. They married on September 29, 1953, and in 1954 the Keenan’s were blessed with the birth of twin daughters Lois and Paula.

Irma can be described as a fun-loving, cheerful, and fashionable woman who dressed to the nines. She was a performer by nature, an accomplished pianist, tap dancer, and artist. Irma loved ragtime music, most recently attending the West Coast Ragtime Festival. For 25 years she served as emcee of entertainment for St. Rose Church’s Senior Ministry. She loved her Catholic faith and bible studies. As a parent, Irma supported all her twins’ extracurricular activities by being scorekeeper at their softball games. She and Jim enjoyed traveling, hiking, boating, and dancing. Hosting parties in their lovely home was their pleasure…
