Buckling sidewalks at Point Defiance marina reveal failing seawall near Anthony’s Restaurant

The meeting of land and sea is an often fraught union. Point Defiance’s Marina is no exception.

Erosion of the seawall near Anthony’s restaurant has resulted in closures to sidewalks near the eatery’s main entrance. Luckily for those in search of clam chowder and fish tacos, a gangway has been installed to allow entry and the eatery is fully open.

Sometime in the coming week, crews from Key Peninsula Construction should start work repairing the damage, according to Metro Parks Tacoma.
