Saturday night update: It was a summer-like start to the weekend with plenty of sunshine! Augusta Bush Field hit 88 degrees, which is 2 degrees shy of the record of 90 degrees set back in 2014.

A trough will drive a cold front through our area on Sunday. We might manage to squeeze out a stray shower, but the majority of our area will remain dry. If we don’t get any rain on Sunday, we will likely end the month of October completely dry, which would break the record in Augusta for the driest October. This would also make it the driest calendar month in history.

The bigger story will be the cooler temps and breezy conditions on Sunday. Expect highs to be much cooler in the low to mid 70s with a refreshing northeasterly wind…
