Colorado Mexican Restaurant Open for Over 60 Years is Closing

A family-owned and operated business in Colorado will close its doors permanently at the end of 2024. The Mexican restaurant opened in 1958 and has been serving enchiladas, burritos, tacos, and more at this location in Denver for over six decades.

The announcement of the restaurant’s closure came via Facebook on Sunday, December 1 from Taco House – Denver. Taco House said that this restaurant was one of the very first locations in Denver to give patrons an option for carry-out service.

The History of Taco House in Colorado

Since 1958, Taco House has been operating at 581 South Federal Boulevard in Denver. In the 1970s, Taco House expanded to 11 locations throughout the Denver Metro Area. One of the most popular attractions at Taco House was the all-you-can-eat special with its cheese enchiladas. Currently, only two Taco House locations remain and one of them will soon close for good…
