Fire Breaks Out After Flat Tire Causes Wheel to Ignite
Around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a fiery situation on southbound E-470, near 38th Avenue.
Firefighters arrived to find a fully engulfed semi-trailer, which had been hauling wood chips. The fire began when the driver pulled over after a flat tire, only to realize that one of the truck’s wheels had caught fire.
