Rumor has it Georgia’s mascot is scared of Bevo, Uga not traveling to Austin

Five years ago, Bevo, the Texas Longhorns’ live mascot, scared the Georgia live mascot, Uga, out of his mind when the Longhorn went horns-first toward the bulldog at the 2019 Sugar Bowl. Now, Georgia is coming to town but Uga won’t make the trip to Austin.

Supposedly, the travel logistics didn’t align for Uga to attend the SEC matchup in Austin, according to his handler, Charles Seiler.

“Seiler said the decision not to travel to Saturday’s game was based on logistics, rather than a hesitance to reunite with Bevo,” wrote David Eckert, a reporter for the Austin American-Statesman…
