Mountain Pointe High School was in mourning this week over the stabbing death of a 15-year-old sophomore in an early-morning altercation between two groups in Ahwatukee’s Lakewood neighborhood Nov. 16.

Jaylen Reeves died in the hospital of the injuries he sustained around 3 a.m. last Saturday in the 3800 block of East Lakewood Parkway, according to Phoenix Police, who had no suspects in custody as of AFN’s print deadline Monday.
